Made by Waves (MBW) is a project that uses wave energy to enforce the Quiksilver brand as well as do its part to save our planet.
WeLoveNoise was asked to revamp the MBW visual direction to align with Quiksilver’s new brand expression.
Quiksilver is one of the main global brands dedicated and actively looking to save the environment through renewable energy.
The new direction plays tribute to Quiksilver's brand language and helps project the story of why this is so important. The site itself was designed in a timeline format to help enfore this direction.

Typography
A distorted headline typeface was created to complement the overall design direction and provide a balance to the grungy textures.
The type design is a modified version of Commercial-Type's Dala Moa.

Wave energy is produced when electricity generators are placed on the surface of the ocean.
The energy provided is most often used in desalination plants, power plants and water pumps. Energy output is determined by wave height, wave speed, wavelength, and water density.
